"Kean Idol" Announces Vocal Finalists
Winners of rounds four and five

Gibsonia, Pa. - March 20, 2006 - The preliminary rounds of the "Kean Idol" Amateur Vocal Contest concluded as 49 contestants competed in rounds four and five on Sunday, March 19 at 1 and 4:30 p.m. These 12 finalists will join 15 other finalists to compete for the Kean Idol title on Saturday, March 25 at 7 p.m. Tickets to the Kean Idol championship are $10 for adults and $6 for students under 12. Proceeds from ticket sales will benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.

A panel of three judges selected the top six vocal finalists from round four on March 19 at 1 p.m. They are Lisa Castor of Charleroi; Larry Coles of McKeesport; Elena Falgione of Glenshaw; Kaitlynne Kline of Carlton, Pa; Katie Kuhn of Jefferson Hills, Pa, and Natalie Schaefer of Gibsonia. The audience members voted among the six finalists choosing Natalie Schaefer as the winner of Round Four - Kean Idol.

Round five of Kean Idol was held at 4:30 p.m. on March 19. The top six vocal finalists were selected by a panel of three judges. They are Katie Colosimo of Wexford; Michaela Gennuso of Venetia, Pa; Samantha Lerda of Wexford; Sarah Marince of Moon Township; Kelsey Wilson of Ellwood City and Paige Wingard of Irwin. The audience members voted among the six finalists choosing Kelsey Wilson as the winner of Round Five - Kean Idol.

Northern Connection, Your Community Magazine is the signature sponsor; Blue Bird Bus Sales and Monarch Student Transportation are the event sponsors. Armstrong Cable will videotape each round that will air in the Butler, Mars and Zelienople viewing audiences each week.
