Premiere Oldies Band to Perform at Kean Theatre
Pure Gold concert to benefit St. Barnabas Free Care Fund

Gibsonia, Pa. - June 30, 2005 - Pure Gold, Pittsburgh's premiere oldies band, will perform on Saturday, Aug. 27 at the Kean Theatre, 5847 Meridian Road. Tickets are $29 for general admission or $35 for Director's Circle seating. Tickets are available by calling (724) 444-5326 or by visiting www.keantheatre.com. The backstage bar and box office open at 7 p.m., the show starts at 8 p.m. Proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.

Serving up songs from the good old days, Pure Gold's show is fun-filled and energetic - one that is sure to get the audience out of their seats and dancing to the beat of classic favorites from the 1950s, '60s and '70s. This talented act features fantastic four-part harmony and an exceptional blend of blues, doo-wop, R&B, standards and original material that highlights each member's unique dynamic vocals and instrumentation.

Pure Gold is performing at the Kean for the third straight year. Having performed with more than 100 major acts, including Little Richard, The Beach Boys, The Temptations and The Four Tops, Pure Gold is well-known in the Pittsburgh region and beyond. This is the band's triumphant return to the Kean Theatre; they played to a standing-room-only audience for the past three years. With 350 seats, the Kean Theatre's intimate setting guarantees each audience member an intimate view of the performance.

Pure Gold wraps up the six-concert Summer of Fun Oldies Series at the Kean. Group rates and multi-ticket discounts are available. The Summer of Fun Oldies Series is made possible through Grammy sponsors Armstrong and 3WS, Tony sponsors Mars National Bank, North Pittsburgh Telephone Company and Northern Connection Magazine, Golden Globe sponsors DRS Architects and Pepsi, and box office sponsor Tom Henry Chevrolet.

The Kean Theatre is open to the public and has built a reputation for its convenient location, free parking, quality entertainment and elegant setting. The theatre is operated by St. Barnabas Charities, the fund-raising arm of St. Barnabas Health System. The Health System also includes St. Barnabas Nursing Home, Valencia Woods at St. Barnabas, The Arbors at St. Barnabas, The Village at St. Barnabas, The Woodlands at St. Barnabas, The Washington Place at St. Barnabas, and St. Barnabas Medical Center. Theatre proceeds benefit the St. Barnabas Free Care Fund.
